Looking forward to my First HPDE of the year
It's been over a full year since my last HPDE I hope I can get myself back up to speed. Running HPDE2 at NASA Hyperfast event.
Cars ready and I feel like having some real fast fun again
Do you hard core HPDE'ers have any helpful tips, suggestions or lessons learned from a long layoff and getting back on track?
Thanks v4kerker

My only advice: take it easy the first session (or two) to get reacquainted.
I'll be at Hyperfest as well for time trials and instructing. Look for a black C5 #82 if you need anything.

Drifting
Any time I don't have an event for a couple of months, I run the first session with all of the nannies on. It forces me to be smooth and slowly work back into the groove.

Safety Car
Did my first event since Nov this past Friday at VIR. Spent the first session just getting comfortable with car/HPDE thing again. Didn't want anything bad to happen the first session. After that, is was all good, except the new pavement at VIR destroyed most of my marks on the first 2/3s of the track. Just be cautious the first session and you will be surprised how quickly it comes back. Have fun.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'll be starting out easy and hope to get up to 8/9 tenths by Sunday. I've always had a problem being smooth with my inputs
And I hope the Over the Hill Gang is still around for the NASA Mid-Atlantic event. Nice group of corvette people.
