Default GS gears in a C6Z06

I've been told it would be unstoppable in auto-x. I've searched but cant seem to find anyone who has this setup.
Can it be done? Would it be better to just do 3:90's or 3:73's?

I think I have heard that a National level driver is running the GS transmission in his SSP C6Z. Final drive swaps aren't allowed until SSM.

Cool! Is the GS tranny as strong? Not that it really matters at SSP power. I think ill eventually end up in SSM again anyway.
I wonder if that would be a trade people would be willing to do.

The GS transmission is rated for less torque (415? vs 500?) but shares some features of the Z06 unit like the larger diameter output shaft and spine which have been a problem on some earlier transmissions.

Are you guessing its rated less or is that from gm? I'm pretty sure it'll hold more than 500. One venture to the FI forum would prove that. I'm wondering what would make it different/weaker internally.
I just re read this and it sounds douchey. I'm just asking. Not being a dick

The rating according to Tremec is 430 ft-lbf for the MZ6 and 500 ft-lbf for the MM6 TR6060. These would be the limits based on full transmission life and obviously can handle more at significantly reduced component life.

It will make the Z06 a pretty awesome autocross car since you can easily run second gear with that tranny. First gear will be pretty much limited to leaving the start line until you can find a place to shift to second.

Actually I have one I'll sell you. It was awesome with a stock c6z. Outstanding. Best change to the car.

Unfortunately I blew up the stock motor and now have much more power. Now 1 and 2 are basically useless.

If you want to buy mine let me know. Otw it's a great change to a stock z.

I would think it would be a direct swap. Both are TR6060 right? Is the torque tube different in the GS?

Does the GS have the shorter 1-2-3..5-6 gears of the M12 gearset? I would think it would be an autocross terror hitting ~75 mph at 7,000 RPM, but worse on the track.
