NASA Daytona Nov 1-2, 2014 roll call.
Anyone going?
This event is a good bit cheaper than the PDG even Oct 3,4,5. Their price is $875 for Sat-Sun.
NASA is $550....did I miss something?

Drifting
Cant afford both.
Probably less cars with more track time at Henrys PDG event.
Love running with NASA, but races do take quite a bit of track time and race crashes always take bites out of HPDE groups.
Still a $300 savings is a set of front pads???

I like the way Henry at PDG runs his events. I don't know why the difference in prices but Henry paid for 24 hour gate security which means you can leave and enter the track 24 hours a day. Plus Henrys free catered in lunches are beyond delicious...and we're not talking ham and cheese sammiches either. Plus free garages and or free hotel depending on when folks registered (early).
$1200 to register for all three days at Daytona with PDG in October is a bargain. It costs $100,000 to rent that track for 3 days.
Not sure what NASA is tossing in as far as "comps".

I have some good tracks near south Alabama to run that are much closer.
DE4 at NASA I have never seen "crowded', also how do you crowd a track that big?

I see NASA has tech fee of $100 and camping fee of $75. Henry does not charge for tech (its self tech) and infield camping is free.
Last april I paid $900 for two days, so I agree with ya on the $550 for two days being a good deal...even after you pay tech and camping/hotels.
Either event organizer we choose its a win win. 10 years ago most of us would never get to drive at Daytona unless we were professionals or licenced.
If I lived closer I'd be joining you guys at the NASA event. The track is a blast!
