Please share GOOD driving habits videos
So a friend shared this S2000 at the 'Ring video and I am not impressed with the driver's bad habit of holding onto the shifter and only holding the steering wheel with one hand.
(I am not saying that my own habits are perfect or even good)
But, I would like to share with him some videos of good driving techniques and habits.
Please share some, whether they are of Vettes or any other car.
Skilled amateur/non-celebrity driver vids preferred.
Thanks!

Mike Skeen videos are my favorite, very smooth, courageous and fast.
He's at pikes Peak Now in a GTR.

EDIT: that was quite incredible driving there. That he stayed clean was awesome.

No safety gear = stupid.
Needs roll bar, helmet, nomex suit, neck restraint, etc.
I see NONE in that S2000.
Here's a video of me at Daytona HPDE December 2013. I was in the Novice Group/HPDE 1/2 equivalent.

Good point about the lack of safety gear (those crazy Germans!)
Your video is a good example of how to shift/keep both hands on the steering wheel as much as possible, very much in contrast to the S2K driver that I linked to.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but here is an older video I made that was comparing multiple drivers on the same course:
For something completely different that is closer to street driving, I have my last hillclimb race:
(note that the line is not necessarily the ideal line, but I try to avoid the cracks and bumps that otherwise upset the car)
There is a whole Frog Racing Youtube channel with Autocross, Track, Hillclimb in C4 and C5 Corvettes as well as Rallycross and ice racing in a Subaru WRX: https://www.youtube.com/user/frogracingvideo/videos

Your buddy is a really good driver and knows the Ring for sure! He just has really poor habits with one hand on the steering at those speeds, scary.. imagine if a critter wandered out of the forest. Check the video thread in this section for lots of examples. He does get to two hands when the going gets really serious. The other comment is about sitting too far back overall (maybe it is the camera angle) and going 10/10ths in a vert with a passenger..

OK, thanks for the shares and comments.
It was my friend that _shared_ the video, as he is not the driver. I don't think he has ever been to Germany. (I'm sure he would love to!)
I just can't watch the video in question. Since I started watching good steering wheel habits, I hate watching bad ones. I feel that viewing good techniques might rub off on me, so I avoid watching bad ones because I am afraid that they might corrupt my habits. Paranoia?
I will find the videos thread.

Leh Keen's Rain Dance video on YouTube is probably the greatest driving vid I've ever watched. Check the back story to see how he uses sliding intentionally to heat the tires.. far beyond what mere mortals can do.

Good call. I probably saw it a year ago but it never gets old. Thanks for the link.
