Yes at least 3 and possibly 5 of us are going on Friday. Towing our cars up to a nearby performance shop and then heading to te race. Afterward, heading on over to Putnam Park (~25 miles west of Indy) for the 2 day 10/10ths Motorsports event.

Webz - awesome! I'll be in a rent-a-car...LOL...no track time for me. Where would you say the best seats/areas are for watching the road race? I've only been to Indy for NASCAR. I noticed the seats for Friday's race are all General Admission.

I will be there for all 4 days. My dad and I will actually be working a corner for the sports car races. This will be my first time working a major race. Dad and I will be staying in the motorhome across 16th street from turn 2.

The past two years, my dad and I have sat at the very end of the straightaway on the outside. These were pretty good seats as you saw all the passing during the brake zone and quite a bit of the infield. Also that is pit exit for the road course.

I see there is a Corvette Corral at this race - anyone ever done that before? Sounds like fun! Only kicker is that I will be in a rental car from Avis...pretty sure it is NOT going to be a vette! LOL

My son and I took advantage of the Corvette Corral at the Grand Am races at Mid-Ohio a couple of times. The benefits were: the all access passes were cheaper, we got roped off infield parking with other Corvettes, the Corvette Museum had a tent in the corral and sold merchandise, after the Rolex race you could do a couple paced laps of the track.

It was a pretty good deal and a good time. I've been to Mid-O a bunch of times with 3Balls Racing so paced laps didn't interest me. I'd rather be at the winner's circle or the pits after the race. Snagged a hat worn by Paul Dalla Lana after they won a GT race for Turner Motorsports.

BTW - sorry for the pic of the Viper, it's still a cool race car though! Wished I would've got a pic of the Viper that "had it's door blown off" LOL!
