David was in front of both Aaron and Tommy when he spun. He was sixth overall at the time. There are four classes running and it can be a bit confusing. When you watch the video, and hopefully David will share the rest of the race with us soon, watch for letters on the back of cars. TA is David's class, TA2 is Aaron and Tommy's class and there are production based (not tube frame race cars) with TA3 on them.
Aaron looked like he had worked his way up to about third in the TA2 class but lost two positions on the last restart. Chime in Racerboy if you're watching. I know you were in a Mustang but we still love you. See you in a Vette next week at the NCCC Convention.
David, you had a good race running and must be a bit disappointed at the final finish in front of the home crowd. Looks like you were doing a good job of managing traffic and the tires. Nice driving when it looked like it was Bryan Long that tried that outside pass on a bunch of you and spun to the right.
Hope you do well at Brainerd. I look forward to meeting you again at Daytona this year. And thanks for taking the time to share with us.
Folks, if you are around one of these Trans Am events, try to get by and watch in person. The paddock is usually available and you can meet these great people and check out the cars too!

Melting Slicks
Thanks for posting! It's nice to see some actual racing footage in this forum for a change. Tell them to bring Trans Am out to the West Coast too so we can join you guys.

David,
You had a great run going before that late spin. The TA3 car that blew their engine drove on line from the back straight to the top of madness. that oil slick should not have been as bad as it was, and unfortunately it took out some great competitors including yourself.
It was nice to see you again, and better luck next time!

I was pretty bummed out Saturday afternoon, but "that's racing." My next race is at Lime Rock, I'm skipping Brainerd.
Here are about ten laps from the middle of the race...me chasing Tom Smith:
