Default Scored some new to me Pirelli slicks

Saturday morning I went to Sonoma (Sears Point) to buy a set of Pirelli slick take-offs. The price was so good I bought 2 sets.

Thanks to the guys at Frisby Tires my shed now smells great, I love the smell of race rubber. They were very helpful searching through the stacks to find the best ones, and coming up with a wire clothes hanger so I could keep my trunk lid down.

My wife wasn't too happy to see that I managed to fit 8 tires in the new Acura. (4) 305x660 and (4) 315x680. Two fronts in the trunk, two in the front seat. Four rears in the back seat. Maybe I should have taken the van?

If you have a C5, check clearance with 660's on front. With a 26.0 in. diameter, depending on ride height and amount of camber you are running, you may run into a clearance issue.

I was just going to type the same thing. Be ready to crank up the ride height at the track if they start to rub. The 680s are pretty tall too.

My sig pic is with 305/645-18 World Challenge Pirellis all around.

I speak from experience...the 660s are a bit tall for a C5 in front. Just like Scooter70 said, be ready to crank up the ride height...I had to. You can definitely run them, just be prepared to adjust your camber settings after you raise the ride height.

I'll have to do some measuring. I previously had 645's on the front and 675's on the rear. The car is not very low and I haven't had any rubbing issues, but we'll see how it goes with the slightly larger sizes. They were short of 645's since most teams run the 660's and they no longer make the 315x675, only 680.

I'm currently running the Pirellis and love them.
