Default What all should I do while I have CA arms off for bushing repl?

Car now has 75k mi and and 50+ track days. Last track day at VIR, front started wandering severely above 150mph. Last time it did that, it was an alignment issue. CA bushings were walking off so I figured I should fix that before paying for alignment. So I removed them to install the Pfadt polys ones. Anything else I should do while all that stuff is off? Repl hubs with SKFs a couple of years ago. Ball joints and tie rod ends are still stock as is steering rack. Thoughts?

TIA
Johnny

Check ball joints, support control arm so it has no load to check, same with tie rods. Steering hub check there is no play as well. Then a good visual inspection on bushings, connection on sway bars, etc.

Sounds like you have put a lot of the good parts on there already, just double check and inspect those areas for any wear issues.

BTW: Great looking rides!! The owner here has 4 FBody's they race here with his family.

Since you're pulling the hubs, it would be a good time to put on spindle ducts if you don't have them already.

Check all the rod ends, I bet you will find some very small movement.

Your call to replace them or not. Remember, the new bushings will transfer the "play" to the next connection in the (complicated) chain of links from steering wheel to tire.

Does anybody lube and/or polish the contact surfaces between the LCA and ride height adjuster pad to (help) keep them from binding? When I did my alignment I had to jack up the front to get to the camber/caster eccentrics, and even with slip plates the front end wouldn't fully settle down.

I'll be pulling my CA's to address bushing walk soon, and this was something that I had thought about. Just wondering if anybody had done anything of this sort and if it was effective or not?

You can swap in delrin pads in place of the stock rubber-ended adjusters.

Waste of time to try anything with the stock adjusters.

I have delrin & I shoot a little "special" lube in there whenever I hear a noise. Wipe the excess off.

I have the Pfadt coilovers so this doesn't apply to me?
