Since you'll be in the same group, and can't drive both cars at once, I'm available.

Did I catch that right, the Glen is closed for repaving next year? The WHOLE season? I must be misunderstanding.

Beautiful car. One of my very favorite. Do you have high downforce Prototype experience or is this your first foray into that area?

Best of luck. I would love to drive Tremblant with that. Be safe.

Yes, Chief said Glen closed all next yr for repaving

I imagine they'll try to squeeze in NASCAR

Maybe some events in Aug or Sept I hope

As for high downforce, don't know if my Katech Z or Ford GT count

GT was steady as a rock @ Daytona @ 190mph

Have the ex driver coaching me

The Glen will be closing right after the Sprint Cup race in August for repaving, and should reopen in the spring of 2016. This is all dependent on them getting the funding. They estimate it will cost between 9 and 15 million to repave the whole track, and they are looking for a grant of a couple million from the state, to help pay for it. The final decision on repaving is supposed to be made in November.

In anticipation of the track being closed, the SVRA has tentatively scheduled the 2015 Watkins Glen US Vintage Grand Prix, for the weekend of July 23-26. If the paving project is cancelled, then the US Vintage will be held on it's traditional September dates, 10th to 13th. Either way, the 2016 US Vintage, will be back to it's normal September dates.

The complete SVRA 2015 18 race schedule is available at www.svra.com.

Good luck with the DP car, and I hope to see you at The Glen next July!

ISC/NASCAR doesn't have enough $$ so they want the taxpayers of NY to do it?
