Thanks for sharing your experiences. Can't wait to see some video. That's an awesome car and I'm glad I can live the experience vicariously through you...

Losing time in infield cus trusting the downforce is a leap of faith but I'm getting there

Tomorrow is last day here so hope to unleash her a bit more

Next stop Homestead end of Nov w DP & 67

That is a really smart approach. It takes a while to get your brain recalibrated to driving a downforce car..... But it sure is fun learning.

Today I'm focusing on shortening braking zones & need to trust the downforce in the infield

Thnx my crew swapped the whole exhaust system last night. We had wrong headers & were melting plug wires.

Another Corvette DP team was very nice & gave us great deal on full system & helped install so the plug issue should b done now

I am sure that with the support crew you have that you are already doing this.... But I found that reviewing my G data between runs to be very helpful in re calibrating my brain to driving with downforce. I know that my car will corner at 2 to 2.5 G's depending on the speed, so seeing the actual G's I am pulling through the corners right after I experienced it helps give me the confidence to push harder.... without over driving.

Here is my data from last weekend. I am getting there but still have a quite a way to go.

And I know that your car is FAR more capable than mine.

Enjoy

Wow. What a car and experience that must be. That's really awesome. Glad you're enjoying it and so humble about the ownership.

That is absolutely sick. Hopefully you can bring to Track Attack in 2015.

Now it just needs a Katech engine.

This looks right to me...........there is nothing to be gained by going ***** out and risking yourself and the car. It's much smarter creeping up on the car's limits and your skill/confidence levels.....good job.

Not to doubt you, but I'm curious how you know your car will pull 2-2.5 g's.......I'm creeping up on my car's limits and depending on conditions, it sometimes changes (well, my driving needs to be more consistent as well...........).
