Default What's your HPDE track wish/bucket list

I've researched every HPDE organizing body I can think of and can not find anyone who offers an event at these tracks;

Michigan international speedway (not Gingerman)

Indianapolis motor speedway

Anyone in the know?

There is a Mini Cooper driving experience that runs the road course configuration at the indianapolis motor speedway. I have been around the oval in an SS trailbalzer when a friend worked there, but have not been lucky enough to drive my own car.

Laguna seca is on my bucket list

Laguna Seca is a fun track....

I just plan on doing all the tracks in California. I am around half way there.

Since I'm on the East coast and haven't won the lottery yet, I'll keep my list practical. VIR, Road Atlanta and Sebring.

I'm also an east coaster, so I am quite lucky to have the glen and mosport so close.

Leguna Seca is a definate buck lister, and I plan on doing VIR in the next couple years.

From all the east coasters, why is Laguna on the list but not Sears Point?

The legacy tracks that go on a bucket list are a combination of history and driving experience. My particular list is:
Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, VIR, Sebring, Rd Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, Rd America, Laguna Seca. Some may want to add COTA to that. The history, the pro racing all adds to the aura of the track.

I have been at Laguna and Thunderhill in CA but not Sears Point; maybe someday but not a burning desire, just not the cache of Laguna.

I would like to do Mid Ohio an Road Atlanta before I pack it in. So far have lots of years at the Glen, and a couple of events each at Sebring and VIR. Hope to do more events at VIR next year and hope to get back to the Glen for at least one event. I really miss that track.

VIR is on the 2015 list. Longer term is Road America and Laguna Seca.

My non racing bucket list includes driving across the US. Maybe I can combine them and pull a trailer!

Laguna's always people's bucket list because of the corkscrew and is a great track. But for racing (I don't HPDE), Sears is the place, it demands more of you as a driver. Hard to run 110% there every lap.

I've only done this for a few years, so the only one I have crossed off my bucket list is Road America.

I'm sure I will forget something in this list.
Sebring
Watkins Glen
Road Atlanta
VIR
Mid Ohio
Indy
Daytona

I would love to drive some tracks out of the country, but that is fairly unrealistic for me, I think.

Laguna seca and Bathurst AU are more dream tracks and my "obtainable" wish list is Palmer MA and Watkins Glen

This past April the stars aligned and within the span of one week I was able to do Daytona (flat out motorsports), PBIR (performance driving group), and Sebring (Corvette museum).

Looking at these same organizing bodies schedules this upcoming year, things wont work out like that. Daytona is the same week, but the others are not. However you could pull of a Daytona and motorsports park in Bowling Green within a one week span next April.

Another one I found offers all 4 Florida tracks, one day at each, all within 4 days, with hotels included. I don't know much about it, and I think it's the first year they've offered it. May 4-7, 2015

Road America as well on my list (of course Spa, Monza and the Ring but that is doubtful).
