Default fuel cell to fuel injection (help)

My build is below and I am about to purchase an inline fuel pump/system to feed my LS 3 427 with 618hp from the fuel safe fuel cell, top feed. The question is do I need a check valve in the system after the fuel pump outlet so the lines do not run dry. Does mounting the pump below the top of the tank help at all? Looking for some solid advice.
Thanks

Pump feed will always be "wet" via siphon action after the initial start of the siphon if the pump is mounted below the gas level. The lines running to the engine/injectors will lose pressure but it isn't a big deal as they will pressurize if you wait 2sec for the pump to prime before starting.

The problem is I can not get the pump below the bottom of the fuel cell. If I get it half way down will that work or do I need a check valve unless I can get it below the tank. Thanks

Should be fine with it there, just may take another second to prime if fuel level is low.
