Default Plastic windows - what thickness?

Considering there have to be some folks here that have used these I figured this was the best palce to ask (car is a c6 if that matters):

Im looking at the optic armor catalog and they have quite a few choices for the window thickness. What thickness for each application would I be able to get away with without having to use reinforcements?

They offer 1/8" 3/16" and 1/4" for the windshield rear window and side windows.

Thanks!

Depends on the group you run with. I know in scca, the window thickness is set by the GCR... Plexiglass reinforcement is noted in the same location of the GCR as well.

The scca solo rules just state a minimum 1/8" and reinforcements are optional.

Im just not sure I can get away with rear hatch glass that thin without a reinforcement like katech did for their setup...

Just found a thread where Jason from Katech mentions their side windows are 3/16" thick

Taking that into account, the 1/4" option is probably going to be the best bet for a windshield or rear hatch

I had a 1/4" front windshield on my Z06 and at 150mph it started to cave in. The thickest one they offered still needed a center bar.

1/4" is good for the rear.
