Installing light and simple steering column
I did not say replacing as I want to remove the OEM tilting and motorized steering.
I just want to install a simple and light steering with a steering wheel quick disconnect.
I saw some on summit for decent price.
However do I need to find a way to add the steering wheel sensor?
I don't care about code but I care that I want to be able to use the car in Competitive driving mode or disconnect mode.
Don't care about the normal mode
Has anyone one done this? I found the thread about changing steering wheel, but did not find anyhting about column removal.
Thanks

Nothing about the year and model of Corvette.
Typically when you remove the SWPS you disable all TC/AH/ABS and there is no way around it without the SWPS.
I pulled the factory steering shaft and removed all unneeded weight and the made a custom shaft to adapt and after market wheel and quick disconnect. This significantly reduced the weight and kept the SWPS.

I will pull the stock steering and keep what is required.
Will keep ABS block and all transmission sensor
Also I learned that going with a custome light steering will not even save 10 lbs
