Looks like Corvette Racing gets some nice allowances to start 2015.
It was unfortunate the amount of weight added and other restrictions that Corvette Racing received midyear 2014, which really showed in the performance difference between the first half and the second half of the season.

I have no clue how they decide who gets what but if the rule makers gave restrictions last year and then eased up this year, its like admitting they were too harsh in the 2014 mid season restrictions which could have caused some losses?

2014 season
The way I see it, IMSA bent over backwards to give the vipers everything they wanted to get the championship, then Viper left, a slap in the face to IMSA, so they are now fixing their error, maybe being fair to the teams that have been supportive for many years.

They rig the game to pander to the teams that are faltering early in order to increase viewership and attendance ($$$$$!).
IMSA will not allow any team to dominate and, just like last year, they will manipulate the rules during the season, in the name of profit, and in an attempt to keep the manufacturers in the series.

I wish it were that easy, but the "balance of power" rules by IMSA is really just a code name for "balance of outcome".

With BOP, they may not be able to decide the winner, but they can virtually assure who will not win. Is it still fair to call it racing?
