Default Drivers reading material

Just curious what the forum would recommend for some good reading material for drivers looking to step up their skills. Or, just good reading material pertaining to racing.

Magazines, books?

Default books

Ross Bentley's series of books, Speed Secrets.
I have volumes 1 & 2, can ship them to you for $25.
For a quick tip, see the latest (Feb'15) Car & Driver magazine. They devoted a page to the physics of the racing line. Probably the best concise explanation I have seen.

Bob Bondurant's High Performance Driving. It's a classic.

Another good book is "Going Faster". Found it at Barnes & Noble.

with Speed Secrets. Read both books afew years ago. And I have Speed Secrets "Winning Autocross Techniques" by Ross Bentley. I go back through that book and look over highlights I have marked from time to time.

What about digital reading materials? I pop into this forum 2 - 3 times a day. There is excellent information for this newb and the people here are great. Are there other internet forums that have as much or more track day relevant material for the C5/C6?

Not a big fan of speed secrets, way too much copy/paste between books and a lot of babbling.
Overall 'Going Faster: Mastering the Art of Race Driving' used at Skip Barber has been the best book by far for me. There is also a somewhat vintage video available on YouTube:

I recently started reading Going Faster: Mastering the Art of Race Driving as mentioned previously. I really like it so far and can't wait to try to apply some of what I've been reading.

+1 for Speed Secrets by Ross Bentley. I was glued to that book when I first started out. Without a doubt it helped me drive much faster. Ross instructed at the local track (then it was SIR-Seattle International Raceway) from time to time.

His second book I couldn't get into and was dissapointed.
