Default Any issue leaving C5Z front screens out, tow hook installed

Hey all,
I installed a front tow hook and am considering just removing both screens. Any issue with some rubber chunks and a few bugs getting in there? I bought a set of aftermarket screens to cut up, but I'm thinking about just having no screens. That is unless theres a compelling reason to put them on.

Is this an option for you to do?

oh man that's slick. never seen one installed there before.

to the OP, I would install the screens or close off. I pick off chunks of track debris all the time that I would rather not find their way into the engine bay.

I actually got the idea here in this forum. I frequently use a bolt and locknut instead of the Q/R so that I can stand it straight out. Makes for a great GoPro mount that way.

The tow hook (and matching rear bumper hook) came from a company that IS an Internet Brands Automotive forum sponsor, just not this particular Internet Brands forum. Where it is not this forum I don't know if the moderators are going to like this... It's Powell Race Parts out of Port Perry Ont.

It is bolted directly to the cross beam. The plate cover fits over it so you can't even see it. I can hook you up with them if you want to PM me.

Here is a picture of the rear. It's also on Q/R so I can remove it for daily driving and it won't get stolen.

I just cut out a small amount of screen to clear my tow hook. I also blocked off half the area behind the screens as you can see in this picture:

I also ground off the rivet and replaced it with a bolt so only a small portion of the tow hook sticks out while driving on the street. Painted black, no one even knows its there. Of course with all my other mods its a little hard to remain "low profile," but I try where I can.
