Default PCA Autocross Race Video. 2/22/2015.

First event of the year for PCA. So for a little while, looks like I'm going to be running street tires. I actually had a lot of fun on them again. The track had many fun spots. 1st. overall out of 97 cars.

I blame the competition.

How long have you been doing auto cross? I just started last Saturday. It was a short course, nothing like what you ran.

Ha, I learned something watching the video At the "lane change" element at :46, I've been approaching them all wrong. You stayed far right through the lane. I have been positioning the car incorrectly, staying left then just trying to duck in and out with minimal movement, but you're able to carry a lot more speed by just staying out, which widens the opening, and then you have plenty of time to catch the car and get back right unlike a shorter slalom. Seems so obvious now... and rambling over.

I hate missing these events, they're a lot of fun. I'd consider the March 15 one, but couldn't find a Saturday event around to make it worth the drive over local event. Anyways, great runs as always.

When the day comes you beat me, no more videos for you.
I stay home for all the big events.

Was that a course worker in the video at around 0:42? He seemed awfully close to the action and pretty nonchalant about getting the heck out of the way. A spin on the previous chicane could have been disastrous.
