Seibon C6 WH Hood
I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and have had it on for the past two race weekends. I am very pleased with the quality of the hood and especially the looks. The fit is very good. I had a couple of issues with the supplied hinge bolts and spoke to the manufacturer and they will make some changes in the next batch. The price was right with free shipping.

More info please, I've never heard of that brand, but it looks pretty much like the LG hood. Did you notice any temp reductions for oil and/or coolant using this hood on track? I've heard a good vented hood can make a noticeable difference.

Siebon is big with the 5th Gen Camaro crowd. And yep, venting is good for temp reductions. Also helps get trapped air out at speed, depending on brand / design.

I believe those are more a carbon look hood right? Basically a thin layer of carbon on the outside and fiberglass tinted black the rest of the way through correct?

I wouldn't dismiss Seibon as being low quality. They have been making very high quality carbon parts for imports for years and just started really building out their C6 Corvette carbon parts. Lots of people say the Fiberglass World Challenge hood weighs about the same as stock. Any idea how much does this hood weigh? It definitely looks like it fits well, especially considering the questionable fitment of other hoods in this price range.

2nd for Seibon quality... popular with the rice crowd for a long time. I bought a BMW hood for my race car, really nicely done. Lighter than stock, but heavier than 'race weight'.

Just for reference here is the LG hood. Notice the difference in the center section and the side vents. I like the OP's hood and for the savings would have been a nice alternative indeed. Fitment looks good as was with the LG. The weight on the LG was 20lbs. 1.4 ozs, my stock was right at 25lbs. I read on a post that it was suppose to be closer to 16.2 lbs for the LG hood.

I ran NCM a few weeks ago after installing and have to say without a doubt on the temps. The highest I had on Water Temp was 198* and engine oil was never over 256*. I have seen as high as 223* and 295* before the hood albeit on 20* warmer days.
As far as lift, I will have to reserve that for RA where I see about 15mph higher speeds on the back straight than at NCM. It did feel very solid at 141 mph though.

I know this is a bit of an older thread but do you have any other pictures of the car with the hood? Ones where you are standing back away from the car. I've got a black z06 and am just curious how it would look with this hood in the clear coated carbon. Thanks!

Thanks for the picture! In particular do you have one where you are standing back and facing it somewhat straight on in the daylight? Im trying to see how this particular hood (each companies carbon fiber seems to be different shades) looks like on a black vette such as yours. Thanks again, beautiful car
