Just watched the 1st video. I guess there is a reason you have multiple jackets

Nice driving as always!

Most of you might not know that jtmck is a HUGE reason I'm as good at this as I am, and THE reason I'm as good a teacher as I am. He taught me. It was the single most eye opening day I've ever had autocrossing. He trained me, and what I teach today was stuff I picked up from Jim McKamey in Meridian that day 17 years ago. Thanks for that.

And that school is now called Evolution Performance Driving School.

Looking at some data.

Peak Lateral G around 1.5, 1.35 or so max with any sustainable time. This wasn't a big sweeper course, and those numbers come from the sweeps in the big offsets. Peak braking G 1.1, peak accel .66 in 2nd gear. Numbers off my SoloStorm setup which is calibrated to the car and mount.

Looks like an amazing weekend! (and some amazing runs/videos too!)

Wish I could have made it out there, had other commitments I couldn't get out of. Maybe next year?

Did you get into 3rd at all, or all 2nd (gear)?

Considering 2nd is good for about 90mph.... I never left it for 3rd gear. If you do that at an "autocross" it's not really an autocross anymore.

Great driving, Sam--as usual.

It's amazing how much steering input you put in & the car just sticks--wow...

Congrats on PAX! The closest I ever got to you was @ Dixie in '08 on day 1. You were in your FS Mustang & I was in my SM Evo. You were first (imagine that) & I got to 4th--I was stoked!

You're a machine!
