NCM Motorsports Park April 18th with 10/10ths anyone?
I will be there in Green/Beginner group next Saturday.
2006 Black Coupe.
Anyone else going?
Grand Max Straight course....don't see any youtube videos of that route, so I think we'll be the first ones to drive that course.
10/10ths Motorsports is doing the HPDE.

Keeping an eye on the weather. Looks like rain on Friday, so far. I think that it is one of the tracks that I won't want to drive on when wet. Too many incidents last year... very little run off around most of the track.

As far as the mix up between Max and Full, I am sure Bill meant Full. Since the track is new and has several different configurations, I expect the different names will be confusing for a while. Heck, I can't even keep the different configurations of VIR straight and I have been going there for several years!

I know your desire to open it up on the full straight, but believe me, the straight with chicanes still give plenty of thrill and the other straights are faster than the full course front straight. I doubt many instructors would be at the event if the max straight was scheduled for the green group. Things get busy at T1 with two cars passing at the end of the straight and someone coming out at pit out. If a car were to be taking the inside while threshold braking it would be more thrill than you would probably want! I would be hesitant even in the advanced group with a street car. I would much rather be in a full cage car for that max course Look forward to meeting you there. You are gonna like it. You will also come away as a fan of the 10/10ths group, I am sure.

All the instructors have the intercoms AFAIK. I have been instructing with them for several years and I don't know of anyone that doesn't. Bill also rents them for anyone that would like to use them when carrying passengers. I have enjoyed Daytona for speed, also, while racing W2W. I like the back straight at VIR, too, having seen 160 in three, maybe four, different vehicles. However, I don't allow that while riding with just anyone. NCM MSP is a lot of fun for not only the novice but the experienced as well because if allows one to really get a feel for loading/unloading the suspension in tricky/technical areas and has two fast sweeping turns to hone one's high speed sensing skills. Unfortunately, the MSP can eat your lunch if you try to set a track record and don't have the necessary skills. The first day is usually spent just getting familiar with the track. It was the second day there, for me, when I really started enjoying the technical aspects of the track.

Great....FYI HPDE = 1000000% > Auto-X You'll see. Now you will actually have apexes in turns instead of just staying in between the cones.

Will be in Advanced group in #9 full race prep Corvette. As Arte has said use first day to learn the course then maybe and I mean maybe drive at 7/10's on day two. Will be my first time at track and I have a lot of WTW experience and when Arte speaks I listen.
