Default Coolant Expansion Tank Fill for Dewitts Radiator

I just installed a Dewitts radiator with integrated oil cooler on my C5 Z06. I was just wondering if it's necessary to fill the coolant expansion tank to a lower level than stock to allow for expansion of the additional volume of coolant that comes with the larger radiator. My guess is that filling it to the normal level is fine, since I've never heard anything about it, just don't wanna have a mess the first time I go back to the track.

Thanks.

I had the RD radiator and filled to the normal fill line on the reservoir without any issues.

Good question,

I have that radiator & I run the tank below normal but not for the reason you mention. I just don't feel like carrying the extra weight (let's call it an extra gallon) around. I also run with an empty ww tank for the same reason.

That's 16-17 lbs of weight I cut between the two - easy peasy.

Cool, thanks for the replies! I'll just leave it at the normal factory fill level then.
