I bought this lift about 3 years ago, it has been flawless. As a former dealer tech for 12 years a 4 post is useless to me.

I also have an Atlas 9K-OH for 3 years now. A car is stored on it every day since I got it, locked at max height, and I've had no issues. It's solid and now I have no idea what I ever did without it. Race car is 2800lbs but I also service my Suburban 2500 on it. 4 posters are fine if you're changing oil, but start dropping parts and you'll see what a PIA they are by comparison.

Very happy with it, with the casters you can easily relocate it (you will quickly see that the first location you picked for your lift wasn't optimal and you'll be happy to be able to move it).
For the brake/suspension job, I have a QuickJack (http://www.quickjack.com/) that I use to lift the car from the ramps and that I can also take with me to the track. This has been working great for me on many cars doing any kind of jobs.

This works also great to put the car on the scales:

I also use this setup and it works great!!! Best of both worlds. JD

I wound up with a used 4-post (BendPak HD-12SS) because the 2-post's dimensions would have been a problem in my non-baller garage. Not only is the 2-post wider, it's wider right where I'd need to be able open the door of the car in the adjacent stall.

The 4-post is not ideal for C5+ drive train work but it still beats laying on floor. The ability to store another car is also a plus although I only have 3 cars and a 3-car garage so it doesn't do much for me, now.
