Seibon TM Carbon Fiber Heat Extractor c5 hood
Had a few questions about this hood...
1. Is this hood adequate for heat extraction and venting under-hood pressure, or would a hood with side vents be needed? While I'm buying it for function, I also want it to look good, and I prefer the single extractor in the middle.
2. Any quality issues with Seibon carbon hoods that anyone can attest to?
I haven't found much about this hood so figured I'd ask here.

I don't think that hood, as nice as it looks, will extract much heat or solve any aero problems. The C5 has two areas of negative air pressure at speed. The two areas are just above the hood near where the fender wells are which is why you need the two vents on either side. The side vents kill two birds with one vent. Reduces uplift and cancels the exterior negative air pockets.

I have a stock hood with a single vent in the middle. We made a gurney flap like lip on the front of the extraction point; it is shape like a boomerang. It works very well along with radiator laid forward and sheetmetal boxing. 2 cents.

I had a Seibon hood on an old Honda many years ago, and I would say for the price, the quality is really good. I wouldn't expect perfection, but I would expect acceptable fitment and finish.
