Default Few questions about replacing my front hubs (C5Z)

Finally had my front hubs fail on me (OEM) and its time for SKF's with ARP studs. Any vendors have great deals going on right now?

Also, are there upgraded bolts to use when replacing them? The three big bolts that mount them to the knuckle are the ones I'm talking about.

I got my SKF's from TPS Motorsports, they had the best pricing at the time, not sure about now.

Some guys replace the bolts with small head 12 point ones and special ribbed lock-washers (can't remember the name) but I haven't had issue with stock bolts and Loctite. YMMV

ETA: Nord-lock is what the ribbed washers are called, they're pretty wicked and work excellent as a locking washer.

+1 on Vansteel. They have the hubs in stock and Paul has taken the time to offer setup advice which helped tremendously!

I just got some from Phoenix Performance. They had a good price and shipped same day for me, as my first track day is next week I didn't want to be waiting around. I just got them and put them on yesterday. I had met them in person at a grandam race a few years ago and they are exceptionally nice people, and they advertise in the forums here now and again, so I took my business there.

+2 on VanSteel. I think they are the distributors for all of the SKF HD hubs. All others get their stock from Van Steel is what I've heard.

+3 on Van Steel.

Last I checked, Phoenix was a few bucks cheaper but you can't go wrong with either vendor.

IIRC, GM sells a grade 12 black oxide C6 ZR1 hub bolt. It's a bit spendy and I'm pretty sure you could find a similar grade / size / length from Mcmaster Carr. I never used the Nordlocks, but probably not a bad idea.

Default SKF hubs

SKF Part # BR930099 {#7470569, 7470570, 88967287} Wheel Hub Assembly
$150.89

From RockAuto; don't know why they are this cheap, last set I bought was around $300. Maybe discontinuing?

Those are the "Standard" SKF hubs, not the "X Tracker" or race hubs. Rockauto does not appear to carry those.

Thanks for the help guys. Ended up picking them up from Hoosier performance and stuck with the stock hardware! Thanks!
