aluminum extension ramps for trailer
basically like the above video. I need approximately 3 foot aluminum extension ramps.
I have a 18 ft ATC trailer, the way the ramps are race ramps aren't going to do the trick. any advice

Burning Brakes
Made my own extensions
Less than $25, and assembled in stackable components, none weighing more than 25 lbs ea. Works like a charm!

Race Ramps RR-SPR
Race Ramps introduced a heavy duty shop ramp last Fall that would probably work for your application.

Let's try this link to the picture. The ends of the ramps are not blunt and squared off. The decline rapidly to make it easier for cars to climb onto the ramp. Just too much incline for the corvette

The Race Ramps shop ramps have a 1.5" deep step which is less than the 2" to 3" deep step on most of the other Race Ramps trailer ramps. If you provide the following dimension for the trailer I will send you a graph of the car climbing the ramps to confirm the amount of clearance you will have at the transition point between the Race Ramps and existing trailer ramps.
1) Trailer deck height:
2) Existing ramp length:
3) Existing ramp thickness:
4) Length of angled section at end of existing ramp:
5) Thickness at very tip of ramp:

If I would have seen this sooner I would have given that a shot. I found someone local to build a set of jumper aluminum ramps and already brought my trailer there this morning. Didn't think I would have found someone that quickly to build some.

I have a pair of these over lay ramps I use with my ATC ramps, the 5' ones that came with it are just a bit short

They just lay on top of the existing ramps and lengthen them as well as reduce the breakover angle.

I use these Race Ramps that I got on Amazon (they had a 10% off coupon in Nov '14). They work great for my lowered on coilovers C5 track car, and my '80 C3. They are very durable and super light. I made my own ramps out of 2x8 wood, and they were way too heavy to fight with, so I bit the bullet and spent almost $300 on the Race Ramps. Very pleased with the purchase. They don't slip when under the trailer ramps, due to their construction, which is an added bonus, and fit well into the trunk of my tow vehicle (Nissan Armada).
I know this doesn't apply in your case, but others on here may find it valuable.
