Best oil for a rebuilt/new LS3?
What do you recommend for a fresh LS3 with 3 track days on it?
I ran break in oil for one track day and is running Mobil1 5/30 at the moment. Should I go back to the 10/40 I was using in my old LS6?
Oil temps was around 250's and pressure was 60psi max at the last event. Big oil cooler and Texas Speed LS6 ported pump.
Thanks

Oil tends to be a religious discussion but GM is recommending Mobile 15W50 for track use in the C7. Walmart stocks it.

I use Amsoil 15/50 in my car. I've used it right from when the motor was new. I always open up the oil filter after an oil change to see what it looks like. Oil temps are 230-240 and pressure is 50-60 psi during a race.
I ran Joe Gibbs oil in the last engine, I wasn't very fond of it. The bearings were trashed after 2 races and oil pressure was maybe 30 psi hot at 6k rpm.
