Default Formula One - HUNGARY - TV Times (U.S.)

Formula One - HUNGARY Schedule on NBC Sports Network AND ON CNBC!!!

NOTE: This race marks the start of the European summer break. The
next race will be at SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS the weekend of August 21-23.

THINGS ARE DIFFERENT THIS WEEKEND SO HEADS UP

*LIVE* COVERAGE OF THE RACE will be on the CNBC network and *NOT* ON NBC SPORTSNET.

*LIVE* COVERAGE OF QUALIFYING will be on the CNBC network and *NOT* ON NBC SPORTSNET.

THERE WILL BE 3 SHOWINGS OF THE RACE THIS WEEKEND

THERE WILL BE 2 SHOWINGS OF QUALIFYING THIS WEEKEND

THERE WILL BE 1 SHOWING OF PRACTICE 2 THIS WEEKEND

PRACTICE (P2) WILL BE SHOWN ONCE and it's at 4:00 PM FRIDAY AFTERNOON!!!!!

Practice and all RESHOWINGS (qualifying and race) will be on NBC SportsNet

The post-race show "F1 Extra" is shown immediately after the race
show whatever time that may be. So the simplest way to make sure you
record it is to simply added enough extra time to the race broadcast to
get (a) any extra time that was needed to record the entire race
including any delays, and (b) "F1 Extra".

I pull this info from from my Tivo's schedule. I have no guarantee that
it is correct but it usually is. I double check it with the NBC Sports
NET schedule, too.

I'm excited. All the teams are supposed to be bringing some serious upgrades.

Williams should be faster. Was it the track or are they truly ahead of Ferrari on pace.

Force India is supposed to be rolling out the full B-spec car.

McHonda says they will be able to use the full energy harvest and expenditure each lap.

Mercedes still at the top.

I'm thinking:
Q: Lewis / Nico / Seb
R: Lewis / Nico / Seb

I think Williams have made a step forward against Ferrari but their chassis doesn't suit them in Hungary like it will at Spa. Mercedes 1-2 followed by the red cars. Williams best of the rest.

Midfield again should be really interesting and I'm hoping McHonda will be mixing it up with them.

Once again, Z, thanks for the info. Hopefully it'll be as much fun to watch as the last one!

Have a good one,

Z, thanks for the detailed info.
Especially helpful when the broadcast is spread over multiple channels.

Well, it appears LH enjoys Turkish weather! Rosberg, not so much.

Alonso can hardly be faulted for saying what pretty much everyone on planet Earth (including throughout the F1 paddock) has been saying for over a year. Hint: even the grotesquely selfish top teams have agreed to change the cars to speed them up as the fans are bored and the drivers are bored. Today's qualifying was a prime example of "must sleep TV".

Nor is Alondo's interest in racing in other series anything new (can you say "World Endurance Championship?) Alonso waved the start flag at the 2014 Le Mans race and came away from his visit there with opened eyes and mind.

Glad to see that the BBC's official F1 correspondent is keeping up with the latest F1 news. Wow.

Well, to the F1 naysayers that say it's boring, there's no passing, etc., WATCH THIS RACE!!!

Yup, totally crazy race from start to finish. I was beginning to think Pastor was coming around and then he has this race.

McHonda with the first real major step forward this year!!!

And he still blames anyone else but himself: ""It was tough race and the Stewards were certainly very strict today, very tough on driving with me and many other drivers." Wow.

Contrast that with Hamilton (who seems to be growing up right before our eyes) who took total blame (afterwards, if not while at the wheel) for his race: ""That was a very tough afternoon. The team did everything right and the car clearly had the pace - I just had a very bad day at the office. It was one of the worst races I think I've had and I don't really have any explanation for it at the moment. All I can do is apologize to the team and work hard to make amends at the next race." Hopefully someone in the front office at NBCSN will be rethinking airing those bits that keep comparing him to Senna.

Then we have the never-ending spinning and spewing from Mercedes' mouth-that-roars - Mr. Lauda - who said of this one race "Whoever said formula one is boring looks stupid now." Yeah, sure Nikki. That's all the fans want - one entertaining race every 18 months or so. And entertaining for what, in a fair number of cases, are really the wrong reasons. Let's try not to encourage NASCAR-itis in the F1 ranks, ok?

Sauber suggestis that "changes may need to be made to the kerbs" because their bodywork can't stand up to the vibrations that the rumble strips cause. Wow++. How about (a) strengthening the parts and/or (b) not driving on the kerbs. Last time I looked the idea was "cars handle circuits" not "circuits made to handle cars" (or it should be.) Let's give Sauber a real headache and bring this idea back:

Legality plank my ***

I did have a laugh at this one, though: "Bernie Ecclestone, the F1 'ringmaster', gatecrashed [Toto] Wolff's media rounds to mischievously declare: 'Thanks for making it interesting but you didn't have to go overboard!'"

It *was* a fun race to watch but, for me anyway, there was a bit too much "Keystone Cops" going on. (Now there's a reference for the youngsters )

Congrats to McLaren - both cars went the entire distance and Fernando was actually passing people! Is that a sign of the apocalypse?

Edit: Leave it to Maurice Hamilton to express well what I was thinking:
