C5 fuel pump good for a 383 racing motor?
Folks,
Had a forged, stroked 383 built for road racing. First trip out wasn't good as there was bad ground to the block. That was corrected, and it's going back to the dyno for a re-tune. However now the builder wants to make sure nothing else could rear it's head on this motor, so I'm asking here if the stock C5Z fuel pump is up to the task of continuous race duty? Motor is overbuilt for reliability, but will be tuned down to 400whp and whatever torque we can get out of it, so it's nothing crazy power-wise. Should the stock pump be good to go?

I had a Lingenfelter LS6 that put out 440 rwhp and it required a pump upgrade or it would go lean at the upper range. I would think you would be close to that.
