Default C6 Base Wheel and Tire Setup

I have read many different post on this. I am working with a wheel specialist on ordering new wheels. A couple issues came up. Maybe some can provide some clarity here. I want to run Hoosier R7's with 18" all the way around and put as much rubber to the road as possible. From consulting with the specialist the hoosiers only come in 2 seizes for 315. I think there was 295 available, but I would like wide as possible. My two options are 18 315 30 on the rear, but it will be 1" shorter diameter than the stock setup or 18 315 40, but then it will be 1" taller. Would it matter if there is too much of a gap if I run 18 315 30's? If I ran 18 315 40 would they rub at all? What are sizes are people running on a base c6? I am also curious what sizes I can run in the front?

I run 295/30 and 315/30 r888. I think they're the best sizes for a base c6 as far as fit and options. The fronts will still be shorter than the rears so it won't cause problems.

Wow 295 on the front, I didn't think I could go that wide on the front. What size wheel? 9"? 10"?

I am being quoted:
Front 18x9 - 255/35 18 R7 25’’ tall
Rear 18x10.5 - 315/30R 18 R7 25.5’’ tall

I have 10" front 11" rear. That doesn't sound like a good option to me, those sizes are what a rear engine Porsche would use. The front is way too much narrower than the rear.

I ran 315 square on my base c6
with 11" wheels all around. Had to cut a little off the fender liner in the front but otherwise worked very well. Running -3 camber in the front. Maxed in the rear (forgot the number)
