A while ago LG was selling their Riley car. If I remember correctly they were open to which parts went with it. You may be able to get it as a roller (if it is still available)

Lou is selling his old C6 WC car. IIRC the price was only 300k. Chump change considering he had the Aston WC car there that some guy walked in and paid 600k for.

How come I can't sell my stuff for good money like that?

There was a forum member who had Woody at Bemco in Florida build him a tube frame C6 complete and ready to race for like 65k I believe...which is a damn good price when you look at the kind of car the guy got.

Sounds like the damage to your C6 Z06 was more extensive than initially thought?

No damage not severe

Just looking for options.

How do you mount a chrome moly or steel cage on an alum frame ?

That may b the best route for me

She's such a sweet driving car, can't let her die

That's good!

I think for bolting a steel cage to an Al car you just have a 4 bolt flange where you would normally weld the tube to the frame and then a backing plate on the other side of the frame.

I think this is what you are after. Take all your stock parts and bolt them into one of these: http://aviracing.com/gt1-corvette/

Wow. $60,000 for a turnkey tube frame racer with a dry sump ls3 sounds like a good idea. Makes me feel like a jerk for spending that much on my C5 and I still got a little ways to go before it's a full race car.

I really want to save MY Z06

Was looking for ideas

Best idea to save my car seems to be to build a serious steel racing cage & bolt that to the alum frame.

Likely, I'll have to get rid of part or all of her beautiful Caravaggio interior but I know she'd rather fly on the track than just b a pretty show car.

I'll try to work part of interior into my 68 roadster
