Default Time to start prepping for NASA East Coast Nats

Last weekend, I finally pulled the #01 C5Z out of the cobwebs in the garage for the first time since the early May event at VIR. I gave it a quick polish and took it to a car show. 80+ Corvettes and ONE racecar, LOL. Two if you count our Grand Sport which has a lot of autocross and track miles on it as well.

This weekend I finally started thinking about preparations for NASA East Coast Nationals Sep 4-6 at Virginia International Raceway.

Today I took the car over to David Farmer Racing for a corner balance tweak and a good once over while on the lift.

Between dropping the daughters off at college and the Bristol NAPCAR races, I need to start changing fluids, changing brake pads, shuffling tires around on wheels, putting on some new stickers for ST2, etc.

Somewhere or another, I might wax it... maybe....

That is going to be a quality event with a LOT of great cars from around the country. Wish I could attend, but a family commitment got in the way.

What are those hood vents you are running?

I'm looking to pick up a spare hood this weekend to cut and vent over the winter.

Some generic louver panels that David Farmer ordered for me. PM David on this forum and he can probably get you another set.

See Post 84 on my build thread for visuals on when I installed mine:

Thanks! My wife will not let me clean them off. LOL!

ST2 currently has 6 and ST3 has 1. TT2 has 2 and TT3 has 4. I thought about double-dipping, but I did not run enough TTs this year to qualify.

Also love that you have a track car at a local cruise night!

That splitter looks amazing. I love the bracing behind the bumper.

Nope, first thing I noticed too. I have to clean mine off or else my red car will be completely black by the end of the season. No money for nats again this year, east coast seems to get the CMC entries too.
