Default Maxed out power ?

Got the new 700hp Earnhardt Childress LS9 in the DP.

Having an issue w tires spinning on wheels cus of the power. Think were maxed out on power w this set up. Next step is more downforce w undertray & new wing. Eric think we can do the banking at Homestead flat out in that configuration

He says my car is faster than his IMSA DP now LOL

I wanted to build a 1000 hp monster engine. Maybe if tires stop spinning we can go w bigger engine after adding more downforce

Like Mark Donahue said “it will never have enough power until I can spin the wheels at the end of the straightaway in high gear.”

I was gonna quote Donahue but you beat me to it. I'd look into adjusting the suspension and adding more down force, then add more power again... lol

Have a look at the ultima EVO engine. It's would fit the 1000bhp requirement! And it's only a road engine.

Time for turbos then! That way you can bring the power in as you want.

I would think so...those cars were only designed for 470-550 rwhp or so per the series rules. Yeah I bet it is a handful to drive.

Since you really don't have any rules to play by...go for a good quality traction control setup on it. Bosch and Motec both have some killer stuff, depending on what engine management system it has.

Will it fit a bigger tire?

If you get board with this (not likely)... You will have to go with an F1 car

No rules? Why didn't you say? Get some bigger tires and then look at a 'fan assisted downforce solution' (google Chaparral d2 race car). You can always say is for cooling like the F1 guys did!

On that have you got flexible side skits? They can really help get the most out of your diffuser.

Also, sounds daft, but what about compound? Is there a softer one that will still last the race distance?
