OEM seems to work well. Mine are 17 years old and still going strong.

Hard to beat stock coils and wires.

oem, but wires are toast at about 50k, see my video.

oem are cheap & easy to replace, so I figure maint. every 50k, on a race car that gets raced a lot maybe yearly.

Yes, you have to be very careful with plug wires on these cars as they are very sensitive to aftermarket wires and misfires. OEM works best but use the metal insulators. With some headers you can still get burnt boots even with the insulators, so I switched to ceramic boot wires made by Accel which you can buy from Jegs or Summit. They aren't cheap, but they work well and will not burn. I bought the ones made for the 8.1L GM truck engine and they are plug and play although a bit too long.

The stock coils are fine, but if whatever reason you need something else you can go with either the D585 heatsink coils (but watch the dwell time) or the 12558693 coils (aka "Melco", which have the same specs as the vaunted IGN-1A Mercury Marine coils, but w/o the heatsinks). Both the coils I listed are from trucks.
