Default Timing chain dampener - yes or no?

Getting parts together to get my motor back in car. Have a new LS2 AL shortblock from TSP. I found a LS2 timing chain dampener that I did not put in my last motor - is it worth the effort to tap and install? I am using the IWis chain. This is the type of dampener I have:

The dog bone style of chain dampener as shown in your picture is the style recommended by Katech over the newer style that is spring loaded. The ls3 spring loaded dampeners are prone to breaking from the research I did.

If you don't want to tap the holes, trick flow has a bracket that bolts to the three threaded holes above, PN: TFS-K30675600
