I just bought an 04 ZO6 CE it was modded before SSR but to be honest it was all screwed up nose slammed on stock bolts coilover shocks to stiff. Im starting over new to autox so Im putting the car back to stock to start fresh. Im just wondering what tire I should run as the sizes are lacking in many Brands. I plan to just run AS as im new and I don't want to deal with adjustments and tuning just work on driving. So I was hoping to get input on tires.

Look into the Bridgestone RE-71R or BFgoodrich Rival S. The Rival S can be had in sizes more fitting to a Z06 while the RE-71R cannot, but the consensus is that at a given size, the RE-71R may be a bit better than the Rival S, but because the rival S is available in larger sizes, that may make them better.

Some have run a combination of the two, having the RE-71R front in 275, while having the Rival S in 315 on the rear.

That's interesting as I see people mention running the Rival S in 275 front but I don't see a 275 listed.

Because they are running 18" fronts, you were looking at 17s is my guess. Also make sure you are looking at Rival S, not the older Rival. Base C5 rear wheels work as C5 Z06 front wheels for AS.

I did not realize I could run an 18 front. Could I run 18s square. Just thinking of the future. I am now shocked to find that I have 200 tw tires Hankooks ventus R They are one size smaller than stock. I now see that its almost impossible to find a 275 or 285/17 for the car.

You don't run square sizes. 275 front, 315 rear on the C5Z. The Hankooks didn't put down power well, the Rival S and RE71R are game changers in this regard.

The Hankooks are street tires. I have 2 sets of stock ZO6 wheels I have a fhat front swaybar. I guess I need to look for 18 inch wheels.
