Sparco Ergo - C5Z fitment? Anyone install one?
I'm looking into seat options for my dual purpose C5Z. Last time at Sebring, I sat in the various seats at Wine Country Motorsports and liked the Sparco Ergo.
However, I'm not certain it will fit in the car...I'll have a harness bar only.
Has anyone installed a Sparco Ergo in their C5Z? Any issues? What base/rails did you use?
Thanks everyone!

What are the dimensions compared with the Evo 2 or Evo 2 US? I had the 2US bit changed it out for an OMP WRC-S. The Sparco was just a bit to wide and wouldn't allow for full movement when using a planted base, sparco rails and planted side mounts.

Ergo - Size Medium:
Sparco Ergo Dimensions. Medium is the size I'm looking at.
Evo - I don't think they show the Evo 2 US dimensions:
Don't believe the Evo II US is pictured. I think it's 1.5 inches wider in the butt?

I have the Ergo in med in my full race C5 Z06. Used custom made mounts. The bottom cushion they suppled is really tall had to make a custom one. Fits in the car really well.

I ordered a medium as I'm only 5'11", 33 inch waist, and 185. Hasn't arrived yet so not sure on fitment yet. I liked the M I sat in at the Sebring show room.

So I got the seat in. However, I don't like the base set up I have currently. With a planted base and sparco side mounts, the seat sits higher than I would like and can't be reclined as I would like. I'm in the process of getting the pieces swapped for something more like the flush mount set up Marrad offers.
Anyways, here's some pics.

I haven't I stalled mine yet but I got Planted side brackets so I'll see how it works. Hopefully it's not seated forward like that. I noticed it sat more forward than all the other seats at 425 Motorsports.
Damn, I really hope it works out!

I'm 5'11. This is a Medium seat. I wouldn't recommend this size for anyone over a 34inch waist - get the Large (which may or may not fit in the C5).
Headroom - my helmet probably had another inch of play before touching the roof. At this past weekends autoX - I had zero issue.
I have the marrad low profile bracket coming to replace the planted base/sparco sides. This should buy me more adjust ability and get the seat, if desired, another inch towards the floor.
I've been working with XPlosive performance for all of this - they have been very helpful throughout the process and are providing great customer support.

Hi guys,
I'm driving a C5Z06, is 6 ft tall and using Ergo XL size with "ears" mounted and the seat slightly leaned backward. The seat is really comfortable and supports the body really well.
The seat; much higher back and the head is actually between "ears" as supposed to. Other seats are generally too short in the back. Shoulder belt holes on Ergo give correct angles (also not so common if you are 6ft tall). My shoulder belts are more or less 0-5 degrees downward, straight through the shoulder holes without bending force around the edges of holes.
Mounting (XL size); no space for 3-point belt and inner roof has to be taken away during mounting or you will hit the roof when mounting. When seat is in place the inner roof can be fitted again.
I'm not using full cage, full cage bars would probably not permit enough space for an Ergo in XL size.

yep they fit. i've sold about 6 to c5 customers. the cushions that come with are very thick. if you wanted to sit lower get the sparco seat cushions. http://www.ogracing.com/sparco-seat-pad-1. that will get you about an inch lower. or make yourself a bsci seat insert. that will net you 2" lower.
