Default Autocross and HPDE C7 shifter recommendations

I'm looking for some info and insight as to how well some of the aftermarket shifters work for parking lots and HPDE's.

All the rage seems to be the MGW. I'd like a shorter throw positive engagement while eliminating the slop of the stock unit. I need it to be good up and downshifting.

Any helpful words, opinions and experiences are welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Al

MGW always has and always will get my vote... I like that MGW replaced the entire shifter box..

That said, I haven't tried any of the new offerings like Hinson has.

The Hinson shifter looks insanely short. The video I saw looked great for a run up the gears but I couldn't imagine having to downshift with that thing at speed. MGW seems to be all the talk.

I think I've heard MGW's are rather stiff.
