How to check if control arms are bent
Does anyone have the specs or procedure to check out the tolerances on C6 control arms (steel frame car) in order to verify that they are not bent?
Also are there any measurements that can be taken for the frame to quickly check that everything is square?
Thanks!

I can't answer the question directly but if you had some sort of impact to them you might want to look them over really well. Have been several suspension failures leading to wrecks at the track over the years from parts with hidden damage that had previously been involved in some type of collision.

Control arms are cheap. If you suspect that they've been bent get new ones. Cheap insurance. These are forged aluminum but you'd need to do a dye penetrant check to make sure they weren't cracked. By the time you do that you'll pay as much a for a new arm. Not worth the trouble or risk.
If you have a track alignment and kept the sheets (always a good idea) then you'll see a change in caster as the biggest thing that damage to the control arms will show up on. If there is a lot less caster in the arm that you wacked then get rid of it.
