F1 Montreal 2016 - where to stay?

We stay here:

Across the street from the last station before the island, so first stop off, last stop on.
Cheap, in comparison, a block from Old Montreal, and very nice rooms.
We did the Marriot last year downtown because it was all we could get, and used our points. Not bad being direct downtown but the older part of the city is nicer and your right there.
Only thing to consider is parking open and on the other side of the building.

So my "travel agent" wife picked the Best Western Ville-Marie on Peel (St.?) @ about $250 night USD. t/f/s/s
Central to underground & museum she wants to do.
She is only interested in the Sunday race. I want to be at the track every day. What kind of ticket pkg do you guys suggest? Are there any choices?
I like to watch from more than one view point if there is a "walking around/open bleacher pass (like Long Beach GP.)

Been there twice, but long ago. First time just bought general admission tickets, but very few places to view from standing, and my wife being short could see absolutely nothing. We bought good bleacher tickets from a scalper for the race, not the cheapest route! Highly suggest you just resign yourselves to bleachers for the race. One year we did the horseshoe area and were so close to the track tire rubber landed in my lap. The noise back then was ear shattering--take ear plugs just in case the crazy Frenchman changes the formula this year and the cars sound like cars again. There are almost no hilly banks where you can stand behind others and see. The whole area raises prices for the GP weekend, hope you do better since the exchange is favorable now.

Hairpin is the place to be
any place where you can see from general will be staked out
you can't see anything from the front rows of some of the newer stands unless you stand up, which of course started fights
