Default Auto blip?

Any one know of a way to blip the throttle on a 3 wire 1999 c5?

Thanks BMERETR, I ordered one for my daughters car last year and found out they no longer make it for the 3 wire throttle body. Too labor intensive was their reason. ??

I contacted them last week and got the same answer. No longer making for the c5.

I thought there was a guy that made an adapter to work with the standard Auto-Blip? I'll see if I can find the thread.

Alright guys. Here is the scoop.

Spoke to Vern at:

Vern's Chevy Service Center
1649 S. Missouri Ave.
Clearwater, FL 33756
727-585-0000

Super nice guy. He has made several prototypes and basically mounts microswitches on the shift mechanism to trigger the Autoblips. You will have to send him your shifter. The clutch pickup is not used. When the brake is applied the system is armed and will trigger the blip when/if the switch on the gear selector is tripped. I actually like this setup better since you don't need a delay from when you engage the clutch and actually shift.

I am sending him my shifter today. Will report back.

Would the auto blip work on a C5 if you were using an LS2 throttle body that came from a C6?

It connects to the clutch, brake & OBDII port wires....so I doubt it.

Default Not an Auto Blip

So three years ago I could not heel/tow to save my life, spent a good sum of money on a three day driving school where we spent several hours over two of the three days focusing on heel/tow and now it seems natural...don't hit eveyone perfect but damn it is rewarding. Not slamming the auto blip at all as I have a dual clutch car also that I track and it is tons of fun as well. Just another option.

My daughter 31 lost her lower right leg on her last tour in Afghanistan. She is now with prosthesis right leg below knee. I built her a c5 track car to get her spirits up and out of the house. I run track days with her and now she thinks she can kick my Ars. I am going to do every thing I can for her to see the flag.

+1; my family thanks yours for your sacrifices.
A great dad raises a great daughter - imagine that.
I look forward to reading about your on-track experiences together.

That is sad, and extremely awesome at the same time!!

As far as the c6 tb comment, it won't matter what tb you have, it runs off your pedals and obd. I have a Ls3 in my car and have it.

Not sure of the shifter mod cost. In the other thread a guy said ~$179?

Once I get it back I will post all of my findings and details.

FWIW, I can HT, it is just very Busch League. I find that I am more worried about shifting then driving. Going to fix that. We have the technology.
