Default C3 Brake Callipers relocation

Does anyone know of a kit or a drawing, to relocate the original front brake callipers from their forward position on the spindle to the rear of it ??
I am looking to improve the cooling of the front brakes.
Many thanks in advance.

I may be wrong since it's been 30+ years since I saw this on a C3, but can't you swap the front knuckles left for right since the steering arms bolts to the knuckle?

It may, but I am not sure that the steering arms will clear the callipers.
Cannot find a proper picture to figure it out.

There is a kit for this available from Duntov Motors. Though some have had issues with this vendor, so beware.

However I don't think it takes much to do this with the stock components. Flip the caliper brackets left-to-right, and then the steering arms either need to be machined for the lower bolt location or a spacer has to be added, I can't remember which.

Not really a cheap or easy option but Baer/Ridetech moved them to the rear on my car.

This basically is the kit that most of the vintage racers that have done this use. There are several companies that can do it but you would have to take the car to their shop. Duntov has a proven race winning kit but some have had issues with them. I have not. I have a similar set up on my 1969 Vintage race car. It works well and allows you get get significantly more air to the center of the rotor.

You can also call Stewart Black Performance in Iowa and he can make you a set. Very good Corvette/Camaro vintage racing prep guy. Tell him Brian rec him. 515-2656-0638

Try it and see. Won't cost anything but time. The Corvette I saw was at the Runoffs sometime around 1981-83.

It's not a simple swap, some machining and welding required. I am into this now and am going to make my own. Doesn't look that hard to me , but I'm a fabricator and have the equipment. I plan on making the scoups out of CF.
