Thoughts on T1 swaybars on an otherwise stock C5 Z06
This car gets tracked 4-6 times a year, I am on race takeoffs currently. During the summer I put it in street trim and cruise it.
I ran the car on these tires for the first time this past weekend and corded the outside edges in 6.5 sessions(Conti G5000 slicks).
I know the car was lacking camber and I will fix that with 2.0 front and 1.2 rear(any other suggestions welcomed).
The car was leaning pretty good and giving up camber as it did.
Are T1 bars livable on the street?
Can I get away with just a front bar? If so, which one?
Thanks

Yes; very liveable with the T1 bars. I had a '01 Z06 with stock springs / bushings, stock '04 shocks with the bump stops removed, and T1 bars. It was great street track setup

Ran an '03 Z with '04 shocks, T1 bars and track alignment
Worked well on track for 3 seasons and fine on the street
Great front and rear tire wear
Purchased the '04 shocks and T1 bars from the local Buick / GMC dealer

How much camber did you guys run wit Slicks or Rcomp tires?
I found a good deal on a set of T1 bars, looks like I will step up and get them.

I have a set of T1s on my 02 Z06 and Bilstein sports with the bump stops cut in half. Very driveable on the street although a little tail happy under throttle in a corner with Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Recently swapped in a Hotchkiss rear bar to gain a little grip.
The T1s work great on the track with Hoosier A7s.

I think it depends on your choice of tire. I use "street" tires with neg 2.2 camber up front and about negative 1.4 in the rear with just a Strano bar up front. I would think T1 bars would be too much for this particularly without a shock upgrade.

I run a VanSteel bar, they talked me out of the T1, using their R&D
info. They serve the racing community, they will give it to you
straight. Good luck.

Everyone's idea of "livable" on the street is different.
I run LG/T1 sways and stupid stiff coilover springs with delrin bushings on the street and am fine with it. Many wouldn't be.
Really depends on how the roads are where you live, and your tolerance for a track car on the street.

Thinking on a Strano front bar only.

Have installed the front Strano bar on my Z06 and also my son's Z06. Well pleased with the bar on the street and waiting to get to the track and see how it works. Feels like it should be just fine.
