Default The BEAST is up for adoption

I know this car very well. It was built next to mine (at Fall-Line Motorsports), and has been sharing a bedroom (Autobahn Garage) since it's inception. The build was well documented here on CF, and the car has participated in many NCM and KATECH events from day 1. This car has never seen body work . . . never touched another car or armco. I think Mike was careful, lucky, a damn good driver AND the car is fantastic.

I drove the car 1-time, early on, and it was 'predictable'. Relatively speaking, I would even say 'east to drive'. The sequential doesn't allow a mis-shift, and the power is equalled by great brakes and balanced downforce.

You couldn't begin to build this car for the offer price, and the 'sorting' expense would make your wallet bleed. Everything has been done, just go drive and enjoy.

Congratulations to the NEW OWNER in advance . . . you bought an exception race-car!

That's an obscene amount of money for a C6 production-based car, albeit a bad *** one. Think it's gonna be awhile before there's a new owner, unless "OBO" means "I'll take 90Gs for it."

I was lucky enough to get a ride in this car in 2008 after the sequential gearbox was installed. It was amazing ride to say the least. We were on the AB South Course and I got to watch a Formula Continental, a 600 HP C6 Z06 and lots of others get passed without any drama...... and Mike said that he would not anywhere near flat out with a passenger..... it was almost surreal to see how quickly they all disappeared in the tiny passenger side mirror.

$90 sounds good

At $215 for just an extra $35 you can buy a DP

I think your asking price is a bit too happy especially considering the markets are tanking.

There's nothing c6 about that car. There is an old build thread somewhere. I got to have a ride in it a couple years ago. I think I stopped smiling after 3 days.

This isn't just another production based C6 - it's much closer to a World Challenge or Grand Am type build. The Holinger sequential, Bosch Racing ABS and Motec alone bring over $60k to the build. While $210K is a lot to ask for a car it's less than half of what it costed to build!

For anyone looking for more info here's a link to the build thread(s): https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...the-beast.html

Mike is one of the best friends the Corvette racing community has ever had - always willing to help out a fellow track rat and you know that there was no expense spared on the build or maintenance of "the Beast". Best of luck on the sale!

This was a truly no expense spared build with top notch workmanship and rulebook be damned parts used. My question was and is simply this, what class(s) is this car eligible to run in?

In NASA you'd be able to run TTU/SU - with a little de-tuning you'd be able to run TT1/ST1 with .2 mod factor for the sequential - I don't think you would have to take the .4 non-production mod factor - there is a .2 mod factor for replacing the floor though.

Those of us that know Mike and the car. Know that no expense has been spared on the build of this car! The car has nothing but the best of everything and is maintained by a top notch shop. I don't think negative comments on the price are constructive. It says this is an asking price and to make an offer if you are interested. Best of luck with the sale!! JD
