Default Exhaust header gasket or sealant ?

Just checking to see whats reliable and long lasting for road racing - header at the block.
A metal gasket of some brand or anything from Permatex(ultra copper)
or a combination of the gasket and sealant ? I have read proper torq on bolts helps... 18lb-20lb ?
I use an aluminum 1/8' gasket (home made) and ultra copper that works fine at the flange end .

Thanks

Paul

I haven't heard if them before, did a quick search and they look interesting.

I've always liked OEM gaskets or a good MLS.
