Love that mini lmp car. Man I want one of those and ditch the vette. I'm in Bloomington. We should hook up sometime at the track. Ever go to autobahn?

How's it coming along? Still going to be at Blackhawk Memorial Day weekend?

I don't think I'm going to rush it, I will not have gone through the whole car by that weekend, and I have some play in the half shafts I'm not comfortable with.

But I may swing up there to visit and regret not being on track, haha. Let me know your plan.

6 days after it was delivered I ran Milwaukee Mile, but it was 40* out so i didn't learn much.

5 days later I was unloading at VIR for the UTCC.

A couple laps:

I think I'm aiming to get to Gingerman with NASA on 6/25.

There's only a couple of us from CF going to Gridlife, but I like the time attack format.

So I broke a driveshaft or coupler at Gman. 600+ rwhp can get interesting. It didn't want to consistently engage a gear and while going back to the pits at 1/2 speed I heard a bang when the driveshaft or coupler let go. The torque tube took out the exhaust and shift linkage too.

Now I can't seem to get be torque tube to release from the clutch. Any suggestions on what I broke and how to proceed?

kablamo!

One of the clutch discs seized to the flywheel and then broke the driveshaft. I'll be able to get this back together pretty easily with bigger and better pieces.

That sucks, I was meaning to swing over and see what happened, kept getting side tracked fixing my junk. Not a good weekend for corvettes.
