Shaky Dog Racing competing in One Lap of America
So here we go, Shaky Dog Racing team members are in-route to South Bend, IN for the 33rd running of Brock Yates One Lap of America.
This year we will be fielding a team of 3 corvettes competing against some of the fastest street cars in the country.
Christopher and Tina Lewis will be driving a 2015 Z06/Z07.
Cletus and Brenda Kraft will also be driving a 2015 Z06/Z07
Chris and Jen Brierly will be driving a 2007 C6 Z06
We will be starting in South Bend at the Tire Rack facility on Saturday with a wet skipped. From there we head to Pittrace, Palmer, Summit Point, NCM, Road America, Autobahn and finally return to South Bend.
I will be posting updates on our progress throughout the week. You can also follow us on Facebook at Shaky Dog Racing.

First drama- Chris and Jen Brierly have already made contact with the local authorities. Fortunately they only got a warning.
Second drama- while traveling through Illinois in I-55, the doghouse started shedding some of its bodywork. A fiberglass panel came loose at 70 mph and flew across 2 lanes into the center median. No big damage.
Onward to the Tirerack.

Well, day one is in the books and Shaky Dog Racing is all over the scoreboard. Chris and Jen Brierly in the 2.0 Minions car pulled out a 7th overall finish while the other two cars didn't fare quite as well. Props to Chris for going the extra mile and adjusting his swaybars in the rain.
Shaky dog was the first to arrive at the transit passage control at Lake Erie Harley Davidson by five minutes and the first to the hotel tonight. At least we're first at something today. It was a sopping wet and rainy drive for 380 miles today.
That's all for now, it's on to Pitt Race in the morning.

Wet day at Pitt today. Shaky Dog cars finished 7th, 21st and 29th this morning on a very wet track. Catesby Jones, defending champ, went off on his first lap and contacted the guardrail ending his one lap. The forge ahead Viper of Steve Loudin and Tom Drewer had a electrical issue and missed the second session.
Currently, Shaky dog cars are in 9th, 12th and 47th overall after the morning session.

pad changes were allowed last year, multiple folks burned through more than 1 set.
I think the tire rule is to keep people from running anything too soft/sticky, the pad rule seems more a safety matter to me.
