Default Cold Dry Track, NT05 or R7's

Never driven on a cold track. I normally run R7's.
Wether says below 50 all day.

Will the NT05's be better or the R7's?

Can't give you too much advice on those two options but the NT01 is a better road course tire than the NT05. I've tracked with NT01's in 45-50 degree temps in damp conditions at Circuit of the Americas on a ZL1 and they worked pretty good.

The NT05's are my street tires never planned to track them.
They worked better in the cold then the R7's

The R7s would be up to temperature after two laps and leave the NT05s in the dust. The NT05s are marginal track tires at best. The worn GY EMTs that came on my 08Z could run circles around the NT05s on the track.

What's it say for temps first thing in the morning? As low as the 30's? I'm no expert but I would be cautious running an R if it's that cold, at least for the morning. Don't want them cracking or worse. Consider doing one session on the 05's then switching if the AM will be that cold.
