Default Giving an autox ride - video

Mostly my passengers like the rides but don't talk much. This young lady had some comments.

Not especially good or fast I had (literally) corded Continental slicks on.

This is a BMWCCA autox where I instruct, this was not instruction, just fun runs.

No worry about going off course there.

It was fun, BMWCCA courses on that lot typically run 85 sec for a good time.

They do tend to "line with cones". We have 10-20 novices each event is why.

Wow! We never have anything that open anymore. Our courses now are just big enough to fit a miata or mr2 thru the gates
I had a local tv reporter in my car once ( when you could haul butt in the upper end of 2nd gear), she literally curled up in a ball and screamed for the entire run.

It's a big lot. A couple of times I had to go to 3rd gear.

Where in the Southern California area is that venue located? Can't believe the investment in cones and the length of the course. Nice to have a large budget to buy that many cones. I had to get by with 75 cones in my old club in NY State.

It's the west lot at Qualcomm stadium (NFL Chargers team). There are a lot of views of the stadium in the background & the trolley tracks at the end. It's a great lot, but the surface is falling apart. It gets patched but that creates bumps. Needs a full repave, but the "saga" of whether the Chargers will stay in SD or go or build a new stadium remains open, so it keeps getting patched.

BMWCCA, PCA, SCCA, a cart organization, and a Street Legal drag race all use it.

It's my playground.
