Typical confusion around a mod and subsequent failure. I am pretty sure you can't find many issues with LS3s in Corvettes that a catch can resolves. I know there are plenty of people installing them to prevent a suspected issue but there isn't any big hue and cry among the owners who don't have the mod about such oil issues.

Camaro Catch Can
This is the factory "catch can" that came in the trunk of my 2015 ILE SS Camaro. It does say "for off road use" and recommends you remove it if you are operating at temperatures below 32 degrees F.

With GM stating earlier this year that they would not void powertrain warranty for tracking cars as long as it wasn't (as I read it side by side) racing, an explanation would be nice. Was this the OEM separator (which appears to be part of the 1LE package) or aftermarket? What failed ? or worse is there video of this car racing? More questions than answers.
